Dr. Salma Samir Omar is an Associate Professor in the Department of Dermatology, Venereology, and Andrology at the Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University, Egypt. She is recognized for her extensive research in dermatological and andrological sciences, with over 30 peer-reviewed publications and more than 750 citations. 

Dr. Omar’s research encompasses a wide range of topics, including the management of skin conditions such as vitiligo, keratosis pilaris, and nail psoriasis, as well as studies on male sexual health and reproductive function. Notably, she has investigated the efficacy of fractional CO₂ laser therapy in treating keratosis pilaris among Egyptian patients, demonstrating significant clinical and dermoscopic improvements. 

Her work also delves into the interplay between dermatological treatments and systemic health issues, such as the impact of antiviral therapies on male sexual function in patients with chronic hepatitis C. Additionally, Dr. Omar has contributed to studies exploring the psychological and sexual health effects of the COVID-19 pandemic in Egypt.
